In one of my recent posts I referred to the synonomous qualities found in various stories of Jesus and him intersecting with the lives of the poeple of Galilee. That synonomous quality was often water. I challenged the reader to discover their well, river or fountain that they can use as an opportunity to stand in the crossroads of hope and hurt. Well, we have our first winner!
Blake Boring, my minstry associate, has been talking for a long time about connecting with other coaches’ wives in the area for a number of reasons that you can learn about here. She finally made the plunge and is attempting to build a network of women that struggle/celebrate the same things she does with her husband Rich and his chosen profession. Way to go Blake! I am told that her small group, which is also primarily comprised of coaches, is on board with this endeavor as well. They are excited about simply having a dialogue with other women and learning about their needs and desires.
This isn’t meant to be a group whose sole purpose is to convert others to the fatih, but I have a sneaking suspicion that over time we may be introduced to a few of these families one Sunday at North… and THAT, my friends, is what it is all about. We want to further the cause of Christ in whichever form we need to.
So will you join the Blake and the rest of the Boring Small Group in “stepping out and standing” at the water’s edge here in McKinney?
NOTE: By the way if you are a coach’s wife or know one that is, please forward the link to Blake’s blog. I think they are hoping to start a mixer-like time in the near future. Helps us get the word out. Thanks.

That is great! Way to go Blake!
